St. Mary's Sacramental Preparation is a 2-year program. You must register for each year.
The 2-year program will help to ensure the child’s understanding and readiness for each of these amazing Sacraments.
St. Mary's expects that parishioners (households) be registered and actively participating in parish life as part of the preparation for receiving the Sacraments. Going to MASS is the first REQUIREMENT.
In addition to monthly Sacramental Preparation Classes (1st Monday of each month - 6:30-7:50pm), students wishing to recieve 1st Sacraments must also be enrolled in Regular Faith Formation, either as a family or in age-level classes* In-person or at-home options.
*Exceptions can be made for students who currently attend a Catholic school or that Homeschool with a Catholic faith component.
1st SACRAMENTS - RECONCILIATION & EUCHARIST - Signs of Grace from Augustine Institute
Year 1: RECONCILIATION(1st Confession) - Signs of Grace: You are Forgiven
Year 2: EUCHARIST(1st Communion) - Signs of Grace: You are Loved
Each year includes a day retreat for parents and student. (Spring)
Parent Program - As parents are the primary educators of the faith, we want to equip them with the knowledge they need to guide their children as they prepare for the Sacraments.
For 2020-21, parents may view the FORGIVEN and/or PRESENCE programs, either at-home or with other parents during the student's in-person classes on the 1st monday of each month.
