Youth Confirmation

• • Sophomores to Seniors in High School wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in that year should be active in Youth Group one year prior to starting the Confirmation  Year Two Sessions, which begin in September and end in May, with Confirmation taking place in mid to late May. Confirmation

Year 1: Our Sacrament Preparation programs (Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation Year 1) meet the first available Monday evening of each month.  Confirmation Year 1 will meet 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Youth Room (Parish Office Basement) every first available Monday of the month, from October – April.  In addition to our in-person gatherings, youth will complete the 13 learning modules of our online platform series Catholicism 101, which covers some foundational teachings of the Catholic Faith.  Log-in instructions and the registration code will be given to Year 1 students at our first meeting.  Please contact Katie Beaubien Franchini with further questions at youthministry@stmarymtangel.org or 503-845-4279.

Year 2: Confirmation Year 2 meets Wednesday evenings, alternating with the youth group.  Confirmation Year 2 will meet from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Youth Room (Parish Office Basement) twice per month on Wednesday (usually the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesdays of the month).  We will continue our same programming as we have been doing in previous years.  In addition to our in-person gatherings, students are expected to complete all assignments and the online Called to Mercy learning modules by the due dates listed on the Confirmation Year 2 calendar.   Please contact Katie Beaubien Franchini at 503-845-4279 or youthministry@stmarymtangel.org with any questions.

Year 2 materials will be given out at our Dinner & Orientation meeting for youth and parents on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in the Parish Center Upper Level from 6 - 8:30 pm.
